A program of the John Howard Society of Durham D.A.D.S. is a group of fathers who support the inherent right
of children to have a loving, nurturing relationship with both their parents
and their extended families. Weekly meetings provide both professional and
peer support and address issues such as access to children, frustrations
dealing with the Family Court System, parenting and anger management
issues, building a personal support system and healthy relationships.

An ex-father is a man denied the opportunity to raise his child. The separation of fathers and children is the worst human rights abuse of our times. The Ex-fathers group is a support and advocacy group for separated fathers.

Our goals are:

1. Fathers will not lose their children because of separation of from the child's mother;

2. fathers
who want to look after their children themselves will not be expected to pay a baby-sitter they don't want (e.g. their 'ex');

and 3. restitution
for the fathers and children separated by the past and present misandric family law. Ex-fathers supports equal and independent parenting.

Ex-fathers is a not-for-profit group.

Un ex-père est un homme  nie l'occasion d'lever son enfant. La séparation des père et des enfants est le plus mauvais abus de droits de l'homme de notre période. Le groupe d'Ex-pères est un groupe de soutien et de recommandation pour les près sépares. Nos buts sont :

Family Conflict Resolution Services develops programs and training and provides a number of services specifically relating to high conflict families.  Some services include: Child and family advocacy services, custody and access compliance monitoring service, supervised access services, new program development, videotaping and interviewing services.

Fathers-4-Justice (Canada) is a non-violent direct action organization committed to the establishment of a fair and balanced family rebuilding system based on equality for all, the presumption that legislation should clearly establish every child’s right to equality in parental roles, and the obvious premise that in the vast majority of cases children should never have a parent removed from them by state action.

Operates in numerous provinces / territories.

The National Shared Parenting Association (NSPA) promotes shared parenting for children of divorced or separated parents. The NSPA is currently working on several projects including educational programs that would assist parents with various shared parenting tools to enable them to choose the best model for their family situation. The NSPA has also made presentations promoting the benefits of shared parenting to Parliamentary committees, at NSPA conferences across Canada and at press conferences in Ottawa and several other Canadian cities.

The NSPA executive has been interviewed extensively on television, radio and in newspaper and magazine articles across Canada.

Our Mission is to ensure and promote our children’s right to maintain significant and meaningful relationships with both parents after relationship breakdown.

We believe that:

• Equal Parenting is indisputably proven to be in the best interest of our children except in proven cases of abuse or neglect;
• The current adversarial and gender bias nature of our Family Courts and associated agencies act counter to the best interests of our children;
• There is a better way to eliminate or reduce the financial and emotional strain on families involved in relationship breakdown;
• Individuals involved should have timely, thoughtful and meaningful support and access to resources to assist throughout the process.

We Value:

• Freedom and unbiased treatment of all people;
• True gender equality;
• Every individual’s right to life, liberty and security of person.

We will accomplish this by:

• Ensuring that “Shared Parenting” is entrenched in Family Law through active political lobby efforts;
• Informing and educating the public on the destructive and counter-productive nature of our Family Court System;
• Working to develop alternatives for parents who want to ensure “Shared Parenting” is the default position should the relationship fail;
• Advocating for and supporting those individuals harmed/mistreated by our Family Court System;
• Working in conjunction with other organizations and individuals that hold similar core values and beliefs.
